    Dr. Kaloni Philipp

Kaloni Peleketi Philipp grew up attending the Tongan Seventh-day Adventist Camp and remains deeply connected to the Tongan SDA community. As the daughter of Tomasi Tomuniki and Faka'afe Peleketi, who immigrated from Tonga to pursue a better life for their family, she carries their legacy of faith and perseverance. When her father suffered a stroke, Kaloni paused her education to care for him; a defining moment that led her to pursue medicine.

She went on to graduate from the University of Arizona with a degree in physiology and completed medical school through the P-MAP program, which supports students who have overcome significant barriers. Now wrapping up her family medicine residency, Kaloni is passionate about improving healthcare access for underserved communities. She continues to serve the Tongan SDA community by educating families on preventive care and supporting Pacific Islander students through Polynesians in Medicine, a national organization she co-founded.

  • But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

Have you ever felt unseen, overlooked, or underestimated? Maybe you’ve wondered if your efforts matter, if your struggles are noticed, or if your future holds any real purpose. The good news is this—God sees you. He sees your potential, your struggles, your victories, and even your failures. He sees beyond what the world sees and calls you according to His purpose.

This year at Tongan Camp 2025, "I See You," we will journey through the life of David, a shepherd boy who became a king. Through his story, we will see how God calls, strengthens, refines, and restores those He chooses. From the fields of Bethlehem to the throne of Israel, from great victories to heartbreaking failures, David’s life reminds us that no matter where we are or what we face—God sees us, He knows us, and He has a plan for us.

This series will challenge us to embrace God’s vision for our lives—to step out in faith, trust His timing, and surrender our hearts to His purpose. Are you ready to see yourself the way God sees you? Let’s Go!
